Tim Martin, Education Minister

Tim met his wife Tracy while in college, and they were married in 1997. They have one daughter, Presley. Tracy has been a lifetime member of the Mt. Juliet congregation, and Tim started to attend after they were married and was baptized here in October of 2000. Tracy serves as co-director of the nursery. Prior to working in ministry, Tim worked as an engineer for a local municipality and project manager in the construction industry. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, a M.Min. in Biblical Studies from Heritage Christian University, and a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from Amridge University.

How I Serve the MJ Family

As the Education Minister, my primary duties are to teach adult classes and manage our Sunday and Wednesday adult Bible class programs. As part of our program, I help recruit and train Bible class teachers, coordinate classroom topics, obtain teaching resources, and compose curriculum. I also work with our Facilities Development deacon, Jay Keopf, on facility maintenance and improvement projects. In addition, I am responsible for overseeing our Wonderfully Made ministry to ensure those who have special needs can attend Bible classes. It is my privilege to work with Melissa Welch, our Special Needs Coordinator, as well as our oversight committee to making this program a success.

More About Me

My hobbies include reading, automotive and small engine repair, camping, fishing, watching movies, and cooking. I also serve as the company chaplain for a local construction company. Most of all, I relish spending time with Tracy and Presley and helping others understand the Scriptures. I love the Mt. Juliet congregation, my co-workers, and its leadership because of their dedication to helping people get to heaven. God has blessed me with the opportunity to teach the Bible for a living and I am very thankful.
